No more deafness? How ViviTouch and Haptic Technology will revolutionize a cure
Artificial Muscle, Inc (a division of Bayer Materia lScience) have been studying, researching and shedding blood , sweat and tears over an important project : Electroactive polymer-based actuators, with applications for sensors, pumps, valves, and robotics.
They’ve now come up with the technology they call “ViviTouch” and decided to focus their efforts on haptics for gaming. What they didn’t foresee at the time when this was happening is how their innovation would change the world forever.
In gaming, you have subtle distinctions that haven’t been possible in decades. Explosions of various magnitudes, sensations of a person walking behind you or wind brushing through trees are some examples. These aren’t delivered via bursts of vibrations; instead, this is how it must feel in your hands to carry out these actions.
