Exclusive: The Kuwait Music Academy

We’ve been wanting to take an inside tour of Kuwait’s first professional piano and vocals school for a while now and were excited that we finally put down an appointment with Fajer Al Mazidi and Cezary Owerkowicz ( Co Founders of the Academy) . The academy is tucked neatly inside the hallways of the Al Dana Bi Lingual school in Salwa. We were welcomed into the corridors to the hauntingly beautiful sounds of Chopin, students in the middle of class with their piano and vocal instructors.
The beaming smile of Piotr Podemski greeted us as we walked in and he graciously directed us toward Fajer and Cezary who were in the middle of listening to a mesmerizing tune from Abdullah Al Ahmadi, a very special Flamenco guitarist.
What is the Kuwait Music Academy?
Kuwait Music Academy is a continuation of a 20 year old tradition of International Music Education in Kuwait by Treasure of Talent. Treasure of Talents Music Education Program was established by well-known Polish pianists Anna & Cezary Owerkowicz and was running since 1992.
Many participants of ToT Program continued successfully education at the best Universities and Music Academies in USA, UK, France, Canada and Poland. We are very proud of them. Every year our students have opportunity to show their achievements on the Gala Concerts and annual ToT Festival.
We had a wonderful time taking a walk through the classrooms, meeting with Piano and vocal lecturers , interviewing Fajer and Cezary , and of course watching the fabulous young talent of the students. We dont have a text excerpt of the interview this time because we were so excited about moving around, so watch the video below and enjoy !
