The Institut Francais Du Koweit are driving a juggernaut that won’t stop. After the hugely successful “Aswat”, The Institut has approached us to work together and hopefully launch another wonderful music project next year.
“The Herrad Project” is an ambitious new project facilitated and organized by the Institut in their continuous efforts to bridge cultures by bringing together western music and fusing it with Arabian and eastern sounds. Kuwait Music is proud to be partnered and associated with the Institut on this venture.
How will the project pan out?
A Franco Kuwaiti musical encounter mixing traditional oud and the contemporary Chapman Stick

The project is built around the meeting between a French artistic team composed of four musicians and two Kuwaiti musicians and is based on the fusion between the oud, traditional instrument, and the chapman stick, a contemporary instrument which was invented in the early 1970s that combines guitar and bass in one single neck.
“Herrad project” will be presented in Al-Maidan Cultural Centre the 1st of April as part of the cultural season of the prestigious Dar Al Athar Al Islamyyiah.
