But lets start with a small introduction of the Qurain Festival. The Qurain Festival is Kuwait’s leading art festival. It is sponsored by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters. It includes theatre performances, literary events, the exhibition of the visual arts and other cultural events. As of 2010 it has run 16 times since its inauguration in 1994.
The 17th Qurain Festival began on the 8th of January and will run until the 26th. Al Qurain announced Egypt as honorary guest to the cultural festival that is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

- 21 Jan 2011: Al Houria Band

- 22 Jan 2011: Music by the faculty of basic Education
- Venue: Dasma Theatre, Dasma
- Time: 07:00pm
- 23 Jan 2011: A Kuwaiti person to play a patriotic song ” I will never betray my country.” [ Arabic translation]

- Time: 08:00pm
- 26 Jan 2011: Musical dedication to musician Hamed Khalifa
- Venue: Dasma Theatre, Dasma

I truly love the amalgamation of diversity that this event offers. From British bands, Armenian Folklore to Kuwaiti patriotic songs, the concept is divine and completes the essence of music.
