I loved her as a kid and would even go to the extent of pushing my sister of the middle of the living room so I could dance to her music. When I heard of her passing yesterday, it came as a saddening shock to me. To many, Summers was the original Queen of Disco . Growing in popularity by the day, Jelly Shot are no strangers to fanfare . Primarily a blues focused band, they are however not afraid to blend musical styles from classic rock, jazz and motown to carve an identity that is purely their own. We were fortunate enough to catch Mubarak Jamal and Hashim Al-Nasser (Khalid Al-Mansour didn’t make it) over a cup of coffee and get to know the musicians behind all the show.
